Formed in late 2024 in Kent, United Kingdom, RiEN blend classic metalcore with modern metal to create their own brand of anthemic melodic metal.
Born from the remnants of two respected underground acts, Callous (Casket Records) and Bury The Hatchet, RiEN combine the weight and experience of their previous projects into a sound rooted in melodic metalcore, driven by soaring clean vocals and unafraid to draw from across the metal spectrum. Comparisons have been made to Architects and Alter Bridge.
With a sound that is both technically complex and undeniably anthemic, RiEN made their mark with debut single “Hell Is Where My Heart Is” in November 2024, followed by “Still We Dream” and “Abandon All Hope”, both of which earned BBC Radio support.
Throughout 2025, the band brought their high-energy live show to stages across the South East UK, building a reputation for a polished and commanding live performance.
Now, RiEN are set to bring that intensity to Hydrus Live, delivering their signature blend of melody, heaviness, and atmosphere in a performance not to be missed.
