Kandi’s rise from freestyling in school corridors to becoming one of the most‐watched acts in British battle rap has been astonishing. The Wandsworth‑born MC drew inspiration from London heavyweights K Koke, Eyez, Jafro, Skepta and Section Boyz and spent his youth memorising and parodying tracks before channelling that habit into writing his own material.
